2. Legal bases
We process enquiries relating to a contract or steps requested before a contract under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Other business enquiries and the secure operation of this website rely on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interests are responding to enquiries and protecting our services. Where a legal obligation requires processing, Article 6(1)(c) GDPR applies.
Applications for employment are processed to decide whether to establish an employment relationship under Section 26(1) BDSG. Processing based on consent relies on Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where applicable, Section 26(2) BDSG.
3. GDPR rights and complaints
Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability under Articles 15–20 GDPR. Under Article 21 GDPR you may object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future; this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority under Article 77 GDPR, including the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), datenschutz.hessen.de.
4. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, for example when you submit the contact form, apply for a role or communicate with our team:
- Contact details such as your name, email address, phone number and company.
- Information about your project or service interest that you include in your message.
- Application details such as your CV, cover note and professional history, if you apply for a role. We also record that you agreed to us storing your application, and when.
Our servers also record limited technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to keep the website secure and to stop spam and abuse.
5. How we use information
- To respond to enquiries and provide requested consultations.
- To deliver, manage and improve our consulting services.
- To evaluate job applications for the role you applied for and for similar future roles.
- To meet legal, regulatory and security obligations.
8. Data security
We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and regular reviews, to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorized access. CVs are kept in private storage that is not publicly accessible, and only authorized staff can open them.
9. Data retention
Job applications, including CVs, are kept for 12 months from the date you apply and are then deleted automatically.
Contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any work that follows from it, or as required by law. We then securely delete or anonymize them.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal information, to object to processing, and to data portability. You can also ask us to delete your job application before the 12 months end. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
